The research activities are focused on the field of condensed matter physics by investigating organic and hybrid materials for application in optoelectronic devices such as OLEDs (organic light-emitting diodes), OFETs (organic field effect transistors), OPVs (organic photovoltaics) and biosensors. Among the materials are liquid crystals, polymers, small molecules and organo-metallic complexes. Particular interest in nanostructuring processes, surface treatments and thermal annealing as a way to modify and control the photophysic and electrooptical properties of the materials applied to devices.
